Gov. Evers at the pediatric bill signing

Pediatricians assist with state legislation to protect students

Dr. Carolyn Nash and Dr. Jeff Lamont, Marshfield Children’s pediatricians, helped craft Wisconsin legislation that was recently signed into law. It allows school districts to stock short-acting broncho-active (SABA) medications such as albuterol and administer them to any student who appears to be in respiratory distress.

Measles on the rise in the United States

As of May 9, 2024, more than 130 measles cases were reported across 21 states. You can prevent measles by a safe and effective vaccine. This vaccine is part of the routine, recommended childhood vaccine schedule.
