Your Child's Hospital Visit

We understand there is a lot of information to process for a hospital visit. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get the information you need to feel comfortable and informed about your child’s health care.

Visiting Hours & Guidelines

Family members and friends are welcome to visit. Visiting hours and guidelines vary by unit and location. Check at the nurses' station at your location for unit-specific information. If you are visiting the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, there will be additional guidelines.

Generally, parents have 24-hour access to visit their child. However, we may ask you to leave your child's room as care teams change shifts.

Shift change and other times of visitation vary from unit to unit based on patient needs. Please follow the visiting guidelines provided by the unit in which your child is admitted.

Extended families can gather in the hospital main lobby, medical offices or hospital cafeteria and may visit patient rooms in small groups unless otherwise instructed by medical staff. Learn more about waiting areas, cafeterias and general policies for all hospital and medical office locations.
