Pulmonary

Providing children with relief from asthma, cystic fibrosis and many other diseases that affect how they breathe.

Your child’s well-being is important, and our board-certified pediatric pulmonologists understand this. They are dedicated to eliminating or limiting the effects of lung and breathing problems on your child’s life.

Your child’s pediatrician will work with a pulmonologist to deliver quality care where, when and how you want it by offering:

Alec Scharenbroch’s story is just one example

The parents of 7-year-old Alec Scharenbroch know what it’s like to care for a child with Cystic Fibrosis (CF), a genetic lung disease found in one in 3,000 babies that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.

Like many parents of children with CF, the news is life changing as they learn more about the challenges and life-long treatments. But it doesn’t have to stop children with CF from living a normal life.

In this video, Alec’s parents tell the story of their journey of caring for a child with CF and their hope that research can find more advanced treatments and ultimately a cure for the disease.

Our pulmonologists treat many conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings including:
